[framework] Kernel mode exploit stager for linux!

hi!
we are currently interested in a kernel-mode stage(r) for linux/unix
systems and are planning on developing one (based on os-fingerprinting
through the system.map and hooking system calls similar to the windows
stager approach).

before we really start digging into it, however: Has there any work been
done on this (or any other linux kernel mode stager)?
