[framework] Error while running command db_add_host: no such file to load -- postgres

Hi,

In getting the db up and running, I'm seeing an error:
*Error while running command db_add_host: no such file to load -- postgres
*
using msfconsole and following the instructions at
http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Metasploit/UsingMetasploit,

I did

load db_postgres

db_create

db_add_host

and so got the error.  same thing with any db command.  I can go directly to
postgres and enter records in the table, but not through metasploit

there is nothing in either the postgres logs or the metasploit
production.log
